metaFlow® Robotic System
The metaFlow® Robotic System uses controlled, pressurized, high-speed sterile saline to transurethrally resect prostate tissue. The surgical region is planned based on intraoperative multi-plane ultrasound imaging. Under physician supervision, the system automatically controls the movement of the waterjet nozzle and adjusts the waterjet flow according to predefined parameters to perform prostate resection.
This image-guided, robotic-controlled resection approach is designed to support precise tissue removal while preserving key anatomical structures relevant to BPH surgery, such as the bladder neck, verumontanum region, and adjacent neurovascular structures. Unlike conventional thermal resection techniques, the system uses a high-pressure waterjet as the resection modality, enabling non-thermal tissue removal.
